Transcontinental Debate- Tara and Jazz

Idea for the movie-

Tara and I are for the idea of building a transcontinental railroad across America. Our idea for the movie is that we will have instrumental music through out the movie fading out when we talk and fading in when there are pictures. When I am speaking in the video I will have the facts on the movie to and pictures to support my argument. Our sources will be listed at the end of the movie.

Roles in the group-

Tara- Tara will gather facts about how the railroad will create jobs and increase trade

Jazz- I will gather facts about how travel will become easier and faster and increase access to natural resources

Calender:

We will be working on gathering facts about our topics and by May 21, 2010 all of the facts will be gathered. Next we will record our voices saying the facts; that will probably take 1 or 2 classes, so by the beginning of class on May 26 we should be done with that. By the end of class on May 27 we will hopefully be done our project!
This calender is also on Google Calender that I have added you to.

Lion Cub Triplets

On January 27 three lion cubs were born in the Bronx Zoo in New York City. The cubs are very joyful and energetic and enjoy wrestling with one another and nipping on their dads tail. Now all the cubs need are names, so the zoo is reaching out to the public for various suggestions. My question is, what were some suggestions for the two female and one boy lion cubs?

A) Nada, Yapa, and Ada

B) Rafiki, Nala, and Sarabi

C) Nemo, Dory, and Marlin

Poodle adopts baby squirrels

After a couple of baby squirrels lost their home when a chain saw cut down the tree they had been living in. They owner of the home that had cut down the tree took in the squirrels, but after numerous attempts to feed the squirrels canned milk she tried to have the squirrels feed from her dog who had just had a couple of puppies. It was a success! The squirrels feed from the dog like they were little puppies until the owner had to wean the squirrels and then they had to go because it was against state law to have squirrels in a home. My question is, what was the dog's name?

A) Bailey

B)Pixie

C)Lucy

Midnight Knitter

In a town near the shores of New Jersey an illegal trespasser is knitting little sweaters to put onto tree branches, lamp posts, and anything else similar. Many residents are enthralled in the act of popping colors whenever they look out their windows. Even the residents who don't appreciate the act still think it's better than graffiti. The trespassers are doing the crime covered by the darkness of night so that they don't get caught because it is against the law to trespass onto someon else's property without permission. My question is, what is the Mayor of this part of New Jersey's name?

A) Mayor Pam Kaithern

B) Mayor Susan Thomas

C) Mayor Betty Fitzgerald

World's Tallest Girl

Can a 16 year old girl already be 7 feet tall? Well, i guess so because 16 year old Marvadene (or Bubbles for her 'bubbly' personality) Anderson has reached 7 feet tall just 3 inches taller than LeBron James! She plays school basketball at Rudgers prep. Some of her tallest friends only reach her elbow, could you imagine guarding Marvadene? Marvadene is only a sophomore, but college recruiters are already watching her closely because what college wouldn't want her on their basketball team. Doctors say that she is still not done growing so she will probably grow even more maybe even taller than the tallest women in the world who grew to be 7'7" meaning when shes older she could break a world record! My question is, where was Marvadene originally from and why did she come to America?

A) South America, she came because she wanted to grow up in a more modern environment.

B) Honduras, she came because she knew she was very tall and wanted to pursue her skill in basketball.

C) Jamaica, she came because she wanted to get a better education in America.

The Mexican Times

Today we have been informed that a new desire for land has just begun. A piece of land in America has been labeled as very valuable and everyone wants their hands on it. We have been informed that American settlers have moved into the territory with no rights to do so. This makes Mexican officials very angry because that land should be rightfully ours. Our very own General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna has confronted the American settlers and told them to get off our land. They refused to do so. A plan for a takeover is being constructed. Mexican officials think that we will attack at the Alamo; but, not quite sure yet. Many questions have been buzzing around lately such as, will this be war? will the American settlers leave? will we give up? All will be answered soon. Workers here at the news desk are working around the clock to make sure we have more information for you tomorrow. Hopefully this big mess will be solved shortly.

Top Stories of 2009

First Pup

This year many waited for the arrival of a new puppy promised by the president, Barack Obama, to his two daughters, Sasha and Malia. Finally when the day came in April the family had decided to get a Portuguese water dog. It was very exciting for everyone especially the pet lovers of America. My question is, what was the Portuguese water dogs name?

A) Po
B) Bo
C) Flo

World Series Wins, Big and Little

This year the New York Yankees won for the first time since 2000. This was a huge victory for Yankee and for the fans as well. They beat last years champions the Philadelphia Phillie's. This was also especially sweet because 2009 marked the first season in the Yankee stadium. They also won little because the little league California won beating the Chinese Taipei 2008 champs. My question is, what was the 2009 little league champions team name?

A) California Little League Team
B) Gula Lista
C) Chula Vista
